Frankie in Wonderland Ch3

Frank jumped as the door shut its self and when he turned around there appeared to be no evidence that there was ever a door there to begin with, "because that's not freaky at all." He muttered before looking back towards the dark forest in front of him. Frank wondered if it was wise to walk through the mass of trees, it didn't look very safe, you never know what could be lurking in there. But there was a pathway, meaning someone must have walked through here before. So with a deep breath of confidence Frank started his journey.

The forest didn't turn out to be that bad once Frank found himself something to preoccupy his mind with, and of course this thing would just so happen to be Zacky. He found himself wondering what he could wear tonight that would grab Zacky's attention without looking like he was trying too hard. Then he pictured all types of scenarios which ended up in a make-out session on Zacky's bed, away from peering eyes.  

Frank smiled away to himself before tripping over and falling flat on his face. After groaning and lifting his head up, Frank looked down at his foot to see he had tripped over a tree root. "Someone should really sort that out," he said and picked himself up off the ground. Now standing up Frank found himself in a small clearing in front of a spilt pathway with a sign post holding two finger-signs upon it-each pointing in opposite ways-stood in the middle. One sign pointing left read 'This Way' and the sign pointing right read 'That Way' "Well this doesn't really give me much clue on which way to go," Frank pondered drumming his fingers on his chin.
"Go This Way," a voice suggested over his left shoulder, but before Frank could turn to see who the voice was coming from another voice spoke up over his right shoulder.
"No, go That Way." When Frank finally spun around he was met with two similar faces.
"Unless you can go both ways, in which case you'd do that."
"Pete?" Frank asked in awe, "Patrick?" He couldn't help but notice the couple were wearing the exact same clothing. Faded red trousers with blue suspenders going across their black and white striped t-shirts. It was all a bit mix-and-match.
"That's Pete-Dee to you mind how."
"Contrariwise, It's Patrick-Dum to you also."
"Urm…sorry?" Frank apologized slightly confused at the turn of events. First Spencer and now Pete and Patrick, it all seemed like some very thought out joke or prank. Maybe someone in the universe was trying to stop him from getting with Zacky.
"What's going on in your head?" Pete-Dee questioned suddenly very close to Frank's face. Frank stepped back slightly, only to fall back down on his ass this time.
"I'm not thinking of anything," he said defensively.
"You must be thinking of something, otherwise your head would be empty," Patrick-Dum pointed out, while Pete-Dee knelt down in front of him.
"If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but I know it isn't, so it ain't." Then he knocked on Frank's head before putting his ear against it.
"That's logic!" Patrick-Dum chimed happily, and Frank tried to push Pete-Dee away from him.
"Can you just be helpful and tell me where I am?" Frank asked now slightly irritated and stumbling onto his feet.
"Maybe you should be thinking where you are not, contrariwise to where you are so." Patrick-Dum thought aloud to himself.
"I already know where I'm not!"
"If you are so certain where you are not then you should know where you are so, because it's exactly where you are not," Pete-Dee said smugly. Frank had had enough, so swinging his body around he grumbled and went down whatever path was in front of him at that time.
"Oh, see Pete-Dee, I told you he should go That Way not This Way," Frank heard Patrick-Dum's voice following him and realised that he wasn't going to get away from them anytime soon. He just hoped he'd get somewhere, if anywhere, soon.
